Grandparents portrait painting artist J.Charles is one of the country's foremost portraitists. His grandparent paintings appear internationally in private collections, and in the finest homes. Throughout his 30-year career he has painted the portraits of some of the most important figures of the twentieth century.
The process for commissioning a grandparents portrait painting with J.Charles is to place an online request. Followed by a review of your grandparent's portrait painting requirements.
You may complete and submit a brief online portrait profile covering: composition, clothing modifications,
mood of the portrait, color preferences, background changes, setting in which the portrait painting will hang, and frame preference.
You may choose to leave any or all choices up to artist J.Charles or consult with him directly during a teleconference or by email.
The next step in completing your grandparents portrait painting is the photography and sketch session. Or, you may choose to supply a professionally taken photograph with the subjects in the desired pose.
If you request a photograph and sketch session, J.Charles will travel to your location for a sitting, typically completed in one hour. J.Charles' will then return to his MasterWork studio and create a color study to indicate the composition and approximate colors to be used for your grandparents portrait painting. A color proof will be sent through email for your approval.
Any modifications can then be made followed by subsequent rounds of proofs until final agreement is reached.
The final step in the grandparents portrait painting process begins when portraitist J.Charles, using master artist oil brush techniques,
applied to the finest Belgian linen canvas, produces the final masterpiece during the 2- 4 week painting process.
Upon completion, your custom framed grandparents portrait painting will be delivered and be ready to hang upon receipt.
